Public transportation is stunning in Europe. Everything is fast, clean, and comfortable. It was only a 40-minute train ride to Toledo from Madrid. From the station, we walked into town. Up the huge hill, we sorta climbed, thank God for escalators! From the top, it was a lovely view of the city below and of the mountains in the distance. Sadly, it rained off and on, but that didn’t stop us. While in Toledo, it was a must to check out the main cathedral. Over 150 feet high and a few blocks long, it definitely impressed me. After, we began our quest in search for Marzipan that the nuns make in a small bakery. The quest was fruitful, we indulged in the sweet taste of nun-made Marzipan. This was a good way to wrap up our adventures in Toledo as we had to get back and catch our train back to Madrid.
